How Exclusions Work

Animal Exclusions

Animal exclusions are the sealing of the exit and entry holes animals use to gain access to your home. For a squirrel problem we like to use one-way squirrel doors whenever possible: using squirrel doors is considered the best way to get rid of problem squirrels and eliminate an ongoing squirrel problem.

These temporary doors allow the squirrels to exit your home, but they cannot return. After the squirrels have all exited, we return, remove the doors and do the final sealing up — and we then warranty the entire property against any future problems with grey squirrels or red squirrels for an extended period of time.

Wildlife Activity Inspection

Our Problem Animal Control techs work out what you are dealing with — raccoon, squirrel, opossum or woodchuck — and find where it is getting in, including inaccessible attics, eaves, cathedral ceilings and crawlspaces.

Trapping or One-Way Doors

Raccoons are trapped and removed. For squirrels we fit one-way doors wherever possible and seal the holes they are not using, so the animals leave the building on their own.

Final Sealing & Warranty

Once the animals are out we take the doors off, seal every entry and exit hole for good, and then warranty the property against future problems.

Common Questions

Wildlife Removal FAQs

Both, depending on the animal. Raccoons, woodchucks, opossums and groundhogs are live trapped and removed. For grey and red squirrels we prefer exclusion with one-way squirrel doors wherever possible — it is considered the best way to end an ongoing squirrel problem, and it is the fastest way to clear a dwelling.

We find the holes the animals are using, fit temporary one-way doors on them and seal the rest. The doors let animals out but not back in. Once everything has exited we return, take the doors off and do the final sealing up.

Yes. After an exclusion we warranty the entire property against any future problems with grey squirrels or red squirrels for an extended period of time.
